You've come to the Right Place
Founded in 1995 the Center for Drug Safety is designed to service the three major groups involved in patient care, hospitals/healthcare organizations, private practices and of course patients. We meet or exceed all HIPAA and JCAHO standards and have successfully passed several JCAHO audits. Further, we have been referenced by AHRQ (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality), which is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. We have participated in a federal grant known as the Applied Strategies for Improving Patient Safety (ASIPS) Project at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC) and formed a partnership with Pharmacy & Therapeutic Consulting, one of the nation's leading pharmaceutical consulting firms.

Fact of the Day Prescribing errors are the largest identified source of preventable errors in hospitals. A 2006 report by the Institute of Medicine estimated that a hospitalized patient is exposed to a medication error each day of his or her stay. Computer Physician Order Entry (CPOE) reduces the medication error rate by 80%, and by 55% for errors with serious potential patient harm. The Center for Drug Safety contains data on all known possible medication-solution combinations and detects problems with single drug and multiple drugs in solution before they occur. View All Facts
